TRAFFIC SURVEY

A Traffic Survey was conducted at 3 key points on the Estate between Saturday 3rd July and Friday 9th July 2021.

Summary results are presented below.

The total number of vehicles passing in both directions over the whole week was:

A’ Beckets      4148

The Fairway   4471

Manor Way   3600 

22.8% of vehicles using Manor Way (824/3600) were travelling at >20 mph, 14.6% (605/4148) using A’ Beckets and 11.7% (522/4471) using The Fairway.

There were 161 instances of vehicles travelling at between 25 and 30 mph (88 on Manor Way, 54 on A’ Beckets and 19 on the Fairway). There were 3 recorded instances of vehicles travelling at between 30 and 35 mph (2 on A’ Beckets and 1 on The Fairway).

The purpose of the survey was to gain a better understanding of current traffic flow around the Estate, the speed and classification of vehicles, and to provide baseline data that can be utilised to make informed decisions regarding traffic flow management in the future.
